Mrs. Margaret “Peggy” L. Hamilton, 74, of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, Pa.
Mrs. Hamilton was born on September 16, 1944 in Ellwood City to the late Richard W. and Margaret (Brophy) Hudson, Sr.. She had worked at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill, Leeds & Northrup, and the Jameson Memorial Hospital for sixteen years in the x-ray department. She is also a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish, and the New Castle Boating Association. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, shopping, and especially spending time with her family and her dog Bailey.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Brian) Staples of Ellport, her sons, Bill (Michelle) Safreed, Kevin Hamilton, Lemont (Trudie) Hamilton of Ellwood City, James (Beverly) Hamilton of Chewton, and Dan Hamilton of Baden, her fifteen grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lemont R. Hamilton whom she married on December 24, 1968 and passed away on September 15, 2009, her sisters, Julianne White and Colleen Hudson, and her brothers, Richard W. Hudson, Jr. and James Hudson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-6 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Hamilton’s family would like to thank Dr. Mary Ann DiBiagio and staff and the Butler Health System doctors, nurses, and staff for the wonderful care that they extended to her.

I still can’t believe that your gone. I miss you so much. Please continue to watch over all of us until we are all reunited again. Tell Dad, hello and know that I’ll be thinking of you until I see you again.
