Maria DiBuono, 91

Mrs. Maria DiBuono, 91, of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver.

Mrs. DiBuono was born on October 10, 1928 in Baia e’ Latina, Italy to the late Stefano and Maria (Paglia) Perrotta. In 1956, Maria traveled from Italy to the United States. She had worked at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill for 26 years and then at Romar Textiles in Ellport for 10 years as a machine operator. She is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish, and enjoyed gardening and cooking.

She is survived by her daughter, Caroline (James) Smilak of North Sewickley Twp., her sister, Vittoria Simeoni of Ellwood City, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Aurelio A. DiBuono whom she married on February 9, 1947 and passed away on May 26, 2011, her sister, Antonette Daniello, and her brother, Augusto Perrotta.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
