My condolences to Pam and the family. May God give you comfort with the knowledge that you know that Don is with his Lord and Savior in heaven. I have never met a more gracious, and giving man than Don. I will always cherish the moments we spent together while coaching together at Geneva. Those trips down to Wendy’s after practice, and our discussions on politics were very special to me. Don was my coach, colleague, mentor and great friend, and I loved him

My heart goes out to Pam and family. Don was one great guy. So many great memories during his time at Northwestern. Our football club would drive Don nuts with all the antics . he was having as much fun as we were. Don was a great coach, administrator, Friend , Father and Husband. Rest in peace old friend.

Don’t laugh but I met Ducky in the hot tub at the New Brighton YMCA once several years ago (probably around 2010). Such a sweet and personable man – we just started chatting and I looked forward to seeing him there often. Then I realized that he knew my step-father from high school and that added another layer of friendship. I am so very sorry for your loss and I will keep your whole family in my thoughts and prayers.

I was saddened to hear of Coach Don “Ducky” Costa’s passing. I was blessed to play football for Coach Costa at Mercyhurst College. Being a Riverside High School graduate it was nice to have my college coach be from Ellwood City. Rest in Peace, Coach You made a difference in my life and made a positive impact on me.
