Rose M. Venditti, 98

Mrs. Rose M. Venditti, 98, of Ellwood City passed away at the Providence Care Center in Beaver Falls on Sunday, September 4th, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Rose was born in Ellwood City on January 30th, 1924 the daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth (Arena) Rocco. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1942. Rose worked at Kwall’s Clothing Store, Ellwood City Knitting Mill, and  the Ellwood City Newsstand. She is a member of the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Rose enjoyed playing bingo, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, and game shows. She will be remembered by her family as being an excellent cook.

She is survived by her daughter Martha (Ken) Dockter of Ellwood City, granddaughter Kimberly Dockter, sisters Elvira Masters of Neshannock Twp. and Martha Boschini of Ellwood City, brother Anthony (Jo) Rocco of Ellwood City, sister-in-law Emma Rocco of Beaver, several nieces and nephews, and Gayle Vendetti, Eric and Ryan Kelly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 49 years John Venditti whom she married on July 26th, 1948 and passed away on November 7th, 1997, son Patsy J. Vendetti, sisters Theresa DeLoia, Edith Pacella, Genevieve Grant, and brothers Val, Carlo, and Nick Rocco.

Rose’s family would like to thank the Providence Care Center staff especially nurses and aids on the 3rd floor for their excellent care.

A private family visitation and Blessing Service will be held at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Father Jim Wehner officiating. Interment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

    I had the pleasure of getting to know Rose and her family during her stay at Providence Care Center. She was a wonderful lady who loved her morning tea and playing bingo. My deepest sympathy to her family.
