Carol Ritorto, 62

Mrs. Carol Ritorto, 62, of Ellport passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the Allegheny General Hospital.

Carol was born on May 25, 1956 in Ellwood City to the late Thomas and Nancy (Zduniak) Rugh. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1975, and from the St. Francis School of Nursing in New Castle. She had worked at the St. Francis Hospital until it closed and then at the Jameson Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse. Following her retirement from Jameson, she worked as a home health care nurse for several years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Frank J. Ritorto, Jr. whom she married in May of 1982, her sons and daughter-in-law, Michael (Jennifer) Ritorto and Frank Ritorto both of Ellwood City, her grandchildren, Monroe, Rocco, and Charlotte Ritorto, and her brothers, John (Kathy) Rugh of Perry Twp. and Tom (Kim) Rugh of West Sunbury.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of the Blessing Service at 10:00 am at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

    Although I didn’t know Carol, I have know Frank for many years. I am so sorry for your loss. Sympathies to the family.

    Frank, I am so very sorry to learn of Carol’s passing. My heart aches for you. It’s not just s matter of losing a loved one, it’s a lifetime worth of memories yet to be made. We must always have old memories and young hopes. My thoughts and prayers remain with you and your entire family.

    Frank and family. I’m so sorry for the loss of your wife and mother. Carol was always a sweetheart who will surely be missed. Although I cannot be there, I will be there in spirit. Prayers are being forwarded.

    Carol, you will be sadly missed. I’ll never forget how loving you were to Jake’s little one the last time we saw you. It was at Jim Ritorto’s house and you fed and coddled that little baby.. You are an angel in heaven as you were an angel on earth. . .
