Cynthia Suzan Gatto, 73

Mrs. Cynthia Suzan (Hilliard) Gatto,  73, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully at home on the morning of January 27, 2021.

Mrs. Gatto was born in Connoquenessing, PA on October 29, 1947 to the late Harold and Mary (Boyer) Hilliard. She had graduated from Butler High School and Slippery Rock University with a degree in education. Cynthia left a legacy with all the children she taught at the Holy Redeemer Catholic School. She greatly enjoyed the close relationship she had with her sisters and brothers. She enjoyed gardening and happy outings at her family’s campground and lake. She will be missed by many especially her loving husband Lou and her son.

She is survived by her husband, Lou L. Gatto, her beloved son, Christopher (Susanne) Gatto of Ellwood City, her step-daughter, Beth (David) Jones of Ellwood City, her step-son, Doug Gatto of Philadelphia, and her six sisters and one brother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister.

A private Blessing Service will be held for Cynthia’s family at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Assumption Mausoleum.

    My sincerest sympathy in the loss of Aunt Cindy. I will miss her loving personality and her quick wit at Gatto get togethers. Heaven has a new angel today.
