Mrs. Vivian M. Rue, 82, of Franklin Twp. passed away on Sunday, December 25th, 2022 at the Heritage Valley Medical Center in Beaver with her loving family at her bed side.
Mrs. Rue was born in Ellwood City on May 1st, 1940 to the late James and Hazel (Palm) Flesher. She had worked at the J & T Custard Stand, Ellwood City Knitting Mill, and Fotia Bros.. She was Christian by faith, and enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, and traveling. Her greatest joy in life was her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Karen Cooper of New Galilee, Dana (Michael) Block of Richboro, PA, and Becky Rue of Franklin Twp., sons Gary Rue (Brenda Anderson) of Chewton, and David “DJ” (Rachael) Rue of Ellwood City, grandchildren Jimmy (Jaclyn), Joey (Jacqueline), Jonathan, Jacob (Christie), Michael (Sianna), Carah, Lilly, Gavin, Maddox, Gabriel, and Anthony, and her nine great-grandchildren. Vivian is also survived by her sisters Jean McKay of Connecticut, Melinda Flesher of Ellwood City, and Cynthia (Dennis) Loccisano also of Ellwood City.
Mrs. Rue was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gary G. Rue Sr. whom she married on August 3rd 1967 and passed away on July 16th, 1999, brother James “Tip” Flesher, and son-in-law James Cooper.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7 pm and on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Rev. Charlene Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow at the Clinton Cemetery.

One of my favorite memories is with Karen and her mom making jello koolaid out bnb of jello. I made it all through my raising children. A beautiful lady always will be missed..
